LD 1619 Passes Maine House
Late on Thursday night the Democrat shenanigans on LD 1619 continued in Augusta, with Democrat leadership and Planned Parenthood whipping the House Democrat caucus into submission for over 5 hours, resulting in a 74-72 vote in favor of the bill.
These tactics clearly demonstrate a deeply concerning fact: it is special interests, not Maine people, who the majority party are representing in Augusta. I made sure to share this fact when I took the floor late that night.
The next stop for LD 1619 is a vote in the Maine Senate, which could happen any day over the next week. If you would like to tune in to the Senate to watch, click here to watch the live stream.
This is NOT OVER.
While I don't want to give false hope, bear in mind that every bill has to go back and forth several times between the House and Senate for a series of votes. We will keep you up to date as things progress, and encourage you to stay tuned for the next chapter . . . replacing legislators who refuse to listen to the will of the People!
Rest up - we will have work to do as we continue to Speak Up for LIFE!
